Mug Club History
Dark horse was established in 1997 and moved to this location in 2001. The mascari family, who also owned roak brewing co., merged ownership in 2020. Roak's location closed down during covid and moved all production over to marshall. In 2023, we added to our variety and started dark horse distillery and crooked tree cellars.
In 2025, we partnered with benchmark beverage company and are working on expanding brands! We acquired brew detroit, great america beverages, and altes!
Our Mug Club
We have over 4,800 mugs hanging in the taproom! All handmade by ryan dalman out of marquette, mi, all owned by members, and they know right where their mugs hang. They only go on sale about once a year, in december, and people camp out and line up!
