Hey everyone! I know you have heard it before QUOTE "We are going to try and update our site more regularly to keep everyone up to date on whats going on". Well here it is again! We are going to do our best to update things weekly. We do all our updating ourselves so you get the information straight from the horses mouth so bar with us and we will do our damndest to keep up. We have been very busy at the brewery not only brewing beer, but adding on to the taproom so when you stop in everyone has a little more room to sit down relax and enjoy some beer. We have also purchased the property and building next door for our new production facility. We purchased a 18,000 square foot building and have been working hard to transform it into our new production facility. It will allow us to up our production to 25,000 bbls (it will take us a few years to get up to that, but we will have the capability). The transformation is a big job and like everything Dark Horse we are doing most of the work ourselves. We are installing a new JV Northwest brew house with new fermentation, bright tanks, and some more gadgets to our bottling line. We will finally have a big drive in cooler for all our packaged product and most of the Dark Horse family will have an office to keep up with all the work that pertains to the paperwork type. We are putting in a sweet employee lounge which all the employees can dine, relax, clean up, or just take a break if need. The employee lounge will also be equipped with a drinking fountain which pours beers. We are hoping to have the new production facility up and running by the first of the year. We have a lot of work to do, but working hard is just in the cards for all of us at Dark Horse and most people in the brewing industry. On the beer side we have put Boffo Brown ale out in 6 pack bottles it has been added to our full time line up. So look for Boffo Brown Ale on shelves near you. We are also in the process of updating all our packaging. They are all looking sweet and we hope you all think so too. ROD is out in draft for the season - Look for ROD in 6 pack bottles next spring. Look for new and crazy beers from us on draft throughout the year in better beer bars near you. We are going to play around with the brew house and try and get a few new and exciting things on a draft line near you. Friday April 16th will be the Tapping of our Collaboration beer we did with Sam Sherwood of Waldorf Brewery and Bistro. This beer was brew in dedication to Sam's dog Codain- Stop in to Dark Horse or Waldorf and give it a try Friday or after till its gone........... |
