We are really excited to announce the release of our new crushable summer seasonal, Kamikaze Kaleidoscope Wit Ale brewed with lemon and orange peel at 5% ABV!!! Available in bottles at the General Store and on draft this Saturday (4/23) at our Annual Smoke-Off. Soon available market-wide the first couple of weeks in May!!!
Hazy straw in color thanks to the healthy amount of wheat in this friendly summer wit, with a bright white head make it very approachable. Sweet wheat and citrus aromas are what come to the scene next with a slight hint of the Wit yeast that makes this such a unique and drinkable beer. Subtle flavors of Orange and Lemon lace in nicely with a big wheat mouthfeel and a slight tartness thanks to the yeast used in this beer. Finishing dry and clean this beer will definitely be on your list of summer beers to crush from now on.
Hey Everyone! We had to change up our Annual Crawfish Boil this year due to the Rusty Crawfish being added to the MI Invasive Species list. Otherwise, flying in live Rusty Crayfish is illegal & we could get into big trouble!!! They wreak havoc to our native crawfish populations, so we are happy to oblige!!!
The good news is that the show must go on, so we are happy to announce the 1st/16th Annual Anti Rusty Part 413 Low Country Boil on Saturday, June 11th!!! Details coming soon!

Smells Like a Safety Meeting (SLASM) is BACK on the compound this Saturday. Available for purchase in bottles at the General Store and on draft in the Taproom. This seasonal will be available market-wide from May 1st through July. Be sure you pick some up and BE SAFE!!!
S.L.A.S.M. is our most Aromatic IPA. This India Pale Ale is very reminiscent of the hop’s cousin in the Mulberry family. Lots of hop aroma with just the right amount of bitterness as we like to keep balance around here. Between the secret blend of the most DANK hops we can get our hands on and a "more than healthy" dose of double dry hopping, this beer can be announced to the nose from across the room that someone is definitely having a Safety Meeting.
ABV: 8.5% IBU: 48

Bad news: No Super Juice. The yeast is not cooperating, since it is such a high gravity beer and it just not ready yet. We will be releasing it in the future, so please stay tuned.

We wanted to thank everyone that came out to the Crawfish Boil this year. We apologize for the weather, food line and how long it took. We have never in 15 years had people use boxes, tupperware containers, or large aluminum trays, which is why the line took so long. Next year all participants will get a commemorative serving plate either at the door or at the food "lines" that they can fill up once and come back as many times as they want. We will also station attendants at the tables to keep people moving and making sure people are only filling their plate once while at a food table. There will also be satellite food tables in different areas to keep lines from getting too long. We cooked more Crawfish and in a shorter time than ever, but just could not keep up with the portion sizes being taken. Which we also understand that the people that had to stand in line a long time wanted "their share" but it was a snowball effect that we just couldn't keep up with.
We will do our best to fix the situation and want all to know our goal is to make everyone's time at Dark Horse a good one and we work really hard to do so. The last thing we want is long lines and people waiting and we work hard at all our events to try and minimize that. Thanks again for all your support over the years.
